I am not a quilter.

That being said, I make quilts.

Every once in a while.

But because I am not an official quilter, I make it a little simpler.

For instance, I tie them instead of hand stitching them.  If you look closely at the above photo you'll see tacks in the corners.

And I don't map out a perfect edge. 

And of course I do not bind them by hand.  In fact I do not bind them at all.

I know they pale in comparison to the beautiful hand stitched quilts made by my mother-in-law and grandmother.

But they are still warm.  And I think that is what counts.
