About

Hello!  My name is Becca and I am a mother of two (so far).  My husband and I met when we were young and have been married for six years.  We have so many dreams.  Dreams that include goats, miniature cows, chickens, and being home with our growing family as often as this lively world allows.  This is why I love what I do.  I get to share my loves with the world through my blog, and help others along the way.  I began blogging five years ago and have been on a non-stop road to customizing and learning all that I can so that I can make my blog 'just so'.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 2008.  I feel like I got my first real taste for graphic arts, editing, and typography from these cherished classes.  I am now earning a Certificate of Web Design from WWCC and plan to continue my education on my own when I'm through.  My goal is to create lovely, exceptional blogger designs and graphics, all while being affordable to the beginner blogger.

Not enough?  Here's a bit more about me :)

I love making jewelry, especially earrings.  My ears are not pierced.

I am not a professional photographer.  That being said, I love taking pictures and sharing them with others.  You can find some of my work at Opal Dream Photography.

I love to cook.  I love the challenge of working with simple whole foods and creating meals that are healthy and tasty.  But it wasn't always that way!  I think I purchased meat once during my single college career.  I can't actually remember what I lived off of during that time of my life.  Cream cheese and Rice-a-roni?

I was born in Bountiful, Utah, but have never actually lived there.  My family moved about every 1-3 years while growing up.  We ended up spreading ourselves from South Africa to South America and portions of the USA.

I love nutella, and chocolate, and desserts.  I'm a bit of an addict.  It's something I'm working on.

I grew up in cities but have a deep desire to live in the country.  I like space.

My favorite color is yellow.  And blue.  And brown.  And I can never quite decide.  But I have decided it's okay if it never stays the same.  My four year old taught me that you can never be too sure about which color you love best, they are all spectacular.

I cannot sing worth beans but I do it anyway.

I love watercolors.

I cry when I'm angry or anxious.

I love learning to organize and clean.  Does that sound crazy?  I feel like I'm always learning new ways  from the blogging world and pinterest to make things run more efficiently and prettier and I just love it!

I'm constantly in a searching mode for how to perfect my parenting.  I have so far to go.

I love my children.  Nothing will ever stop that.

Growing up, I could never play any video games at my cousin's home except the Mario-Car-Racer game.  Any situation where I might be being hunted completely terrifies me.

I've ridden an ostrich.

I love to sew.  I'm mostly self-taught and create my own designs, but am venturing out to store bought patterns slowly slowly.

I love to read!  It's something I have to limit pretty strictly because once I start a book, the world around me stops until I'm finished.

I throw chocolate chips in my hot chocolate.  It creates the most amazing melted mess at the bottom.
