Guest post by CK (my sister):
Because of the intense, hyper-sexual images in the media today I worry that my children might sometimes be
overwhelmed with unrealistic expectations for beauty. I want
my children to feel inspired and confident in who they are. I want them to understand that true beauty is reflected in the sum of all good qualities in a person - not just looks.
I want each of my children to know that they are important and wonderful.
I printed a 8"x10"poster of the following illustration with each of my kids' names and put them in their rooms.
This illustration was inspired by the following quote, "Beauty isn't
about having a pretty face, it's about having a pretty mind, a pretty
heart, and a pretty soul."
(I don't know who originally said this but if you do, please let me know.)

Of course there are even more amazing qualities we can observe in a person besides the 4 listed in this illustration. But I use the illustration to start dialogue with my kids about dynamic attributes of our personalities (including but not limited to physical appearance).
I'd like to offer the illustration without the watermark as a free download.
Please note the copyright below.
The illustration is sized to fit an 8" x 10" print.
I'd love to give you a customized copy of the jpeg with YOUR child's name on it!
So I put the illustration in the shop along with different color schemes you can choose from. The jpeg only costs $2.00 so I invite you to check it out here. You can print it at any local or online printing service.
