Little House Finished!

If you've been following along with the little doll house I've been putting together, this is the big post!  First, paintings were framed and furniture was moved in.  For the paintings I cut out small illustrations from my favorite fabrics.  That's right!  That's all material!  I mod podged the tiny squares of fabric onto a stiff piece of paper, and cut thin strips of popsicle sticks to the appropriate sizes and glued them on too.  After that I just cut the paper off around them and glued them onto the walls.  The rug was mod podged on as well so that the edges wouldn't fray.

I think this will be one of the only toys I let my daughter actually keep in her room with her in our new place.  When it's not being played with I think it'll be nice to place everything inside and turn it around to face the wall.  Well we can't have a blank yellow wall facing the room now can we?  So I painted a few details on there.  I only wish I had used a thinner brush.

Find the little doll-sized braided rag rug here.

After the furniture was completed and everything was arranged, in moved the little ladies of the house.

Two little bunny friends.  I've been informed that the yellow one's name is Roxy.

How cozy :)

And yay!  Finished.  Now shall I start packing?
