You know something I've noticed while I spend hours on the computer working on my classes, blogging, or editing photos? My face is slack, my eyes tire, and although I grow weary of it, it is so tough to turn away. We let our kids each pick one 20 min kid's show to watch each day. But they still sneak in screen time with family friendly youtube music videos, the drawing program on my kindle, and the very fact that our computer is in the front room. When I start to see that slack-jawed frozen eyed look... oh it bothers me. I don't want my kids to be addicted to the constant need for entertainment. Ideally we would be outside in the beautiful mountains in out backyard. Unfortunately it is still winter and I just ain't going there.
So here's where these paper dolls come in.
My daughter loves little paper things.
She will sit for hours with tiny scissors, crayons, paper, and tape. She creates everything. From paper rings, little paper house scenes, and she practices making up words with the letters she knows.
And you know what?
It's so healthy for her.
After days of planning, sketching, editing, and printing out drafts, these little paper dolls are ready for play.
And she loves them.
You can find these printable paper dolls in the BeccaMarie Designs shop. For now they are only $2.00 each. Simply print on card-stock or thicker paper, cut out, and you're on your way.
Hope they help your kids in these long winter months.
love you! Thanks for stopping by!
